MID-WINTER, SPRING, SUMMER CHESS CAMPS 2011

For Elementary School students

Camp locations:

  • 2501 152 Ave NE; Overlake Business Center, across from Microsoft
  • Spring and Summer camps in Seattle/Shoreline
  • Summer camp in Bellevue

Registration Fee $175/week. Inquire about discounts for siblings or friends!

Scholarships are available for qualified students.

Mid-Winter Break:  February 17,18, 2/21 - 2/25; 

Spring Break March 28-April 1;  April 4-8th; April 18-22
 Summer Break All summer  weeks.
8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Before/After school care is available.

 Students in grades K-6, from beginners to advanced players.
This is a great opportunity to learn chess in a structured and fun environment and prepare for the State Championship.
Students will learn strategy, cool openings, and all the tools to get ahead in the game.

CAMP PROGRAM:
This camp is recommended for chess club players and all young players who like to play chess, from beginner to advance students.

Classes on: Opening Theory,  Middlegame and Endgame studies, and Solving Puzzles.
 The camp will be great for novice students to learn chess moves and rules.

 

DAILY SCHEDULE:

9:00 - 11:45 Classes: Opening,  Middlegame, and Strategy.
Breaks every 30 - 45 minutes.
11:30- 12:30 Lunch and activities outside.
12:30 - 3:00 Tournament games and play outside.
Bughouse games 3:00 - Students pickup
